There is no public roadmap for now, but great news! A TwineMedia rewrite in Rust will soon improve it all.
TwineMedia is free and open-source software (FOSS). It is released in two parts: its core - the back-end - which is published under the GNU GPL, and its interface - the front-end - published under the MIT/Expat. Twine is available under the MIT/Expat license as well.
